Eligibility

Job Offer

  • Active job offer in eligible BC tech occupationMust have an accepted full-time job offer from a BC employer in one of the 29 eligible tech occupations (e.g., software engineers, web developers, data scientists, IT project managers).Source (opens in new tab)
  • Job offer must be at least 1 year in durationThe job offer must have a minimum duration of 1 year (365 days) from the date of the BC PNP application. The job must be full-time (minimum 30 hours per week).

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of directly related work experienceAt least 2 years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) directly related work experience. Must be in a NOC code matching the BC job offer.

Language

  • Minimum CLB 4 (TEER 2/3) or no minimum (TEER 0/1)Language requirements depend on NOC TEER level. TEER 0 and 1 occupations have no minimum CLB for the BC PNP application, though Express Entry has its own minimum. TEER 2 and 3 require CLB 4.

Education

  • Credentials matching the occupationMust have education, training, or credentials that match the requirements of the BC job offer. Foreign credentials may need assessment.

Settlement

  • Intent to live and work in British ColumbiaMust demonstrate genuine intention to reside in BC. BC PNP Tech draws occur weekly, offering faster processing than standard BC PNP.

Registration

  • Register through BC PNP Online systemMust create an online profile in the BC PNP system and receive an invitation to apply. BC PNP Tech applicants can register through either the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC streams.Source (opens in new tab)
